NEW FOR 2025: VOLLEYBALL & CORNHOLE BAG RENTALS
With the completion of the Center Lake Recreational Trail, we added two new recreation features at Center Lake Beach and in Bixler Park: sand volleyball and permanent cornhole boards.
The volleyball court is on the east end of the beach opposite the swimming area and the cornhole boards are in Bixler Park near the tennis/pickleball courts.
If you didn't bring your own ball or bags to play with, no worries! The yard game rental kiosk is up and running. As shown in the picture, the rental kiosk for a volleyball and cornhole bags is located right beside the kayak/paddleboard station at Center Lake.
You can rent these items for $5.00 per hour through the Rent.Fun app.
Self-serve kayaks & paddle boards at both lakes!
Thanks to a grant from the KCCRVC Commission, Warsaw is now the home of kayak and paddle board self-serve rental kiosks in two locations! We opened our first kayak kiosk in the fall of 2021 and now we have kayaks and paddle boards at both lakes.
You can find our kiosks at:
- Center Lake Beach: 119 E. Canal St.
- Pike Lake Beach: 1009 E. Arthur St.
Every rental includes the kayak or paddle board, a paddle, and a life jacket. The kiosk is powered by the Rent.Fun app, so to save yourself time, find the app in your phone's app store and download it before you go. Rentals require the use of a credit or debit card.
Rentals can be made from 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM. Any active rentals after 7:00 PM will be able to end their rental, but new rentals will not be allowed.
Rental Rates:
$15.00 per hour or $40.00 for 4 hours
How it works
- Download the Rent.Fun app and create an account.
- Scan the QR code at the station to unlock your kayak or paddle board.
- Remove your equipment, close your locker, put on your life jacket, and go enjoy the water!
- Return all your equipment by hitting "Unlock" on the app to open your locker.
- Choose "End Rental" in the app to stop the clock on your rental.
Things to Know:
- You must close your cage once your equipment is removed before you set out on the water. We have had several instances of users not being able to return their kayaks to the proper cage because they left their cage open and someone else used it.
- Rent.Fun places a $50.00 hold on the account when a rental is started that will fall off 24-48 hours after the end of the rental, but may take longer based on your bank or credit card policies. Please call the office if it has been longer than 72 hours and the hold has not released.
- The cage will lock as soon as you hit "End Rental", so if you end your rental as soon as you get out of the water, you will not be able to place your equipment back in the locker. Only end the rental once the cage is opened and all your equipment has been replaced.
- The rental software is to the minute when calculating the length of a rental and it does not pro-rate. For example: If you start a one-hour rental for $15.00 at 1:00 PM, and the equipment is not returned and rental ended by 2:00 PM, the app will charge another $15.00 to your card.
- For best and fastest results, contact Support through the Rent.Fun app if there is an issue. The Parks Department is only staffed Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, so rentals with problems outside of those hours will not be addressed until staff returns to the office.
