Jeff graduated from Warsaw High School in 1985, and he attended Northwestern University on a basketball scholarship, graduating in 1989. In 1999, he earned a Master of Science in Education degree from Indiana University. He has been a high school social studies teacher for 30 years, earning the honor of District Teacher of the Year for Warsaw Community Schools in 2012. Jeff is married to Rachel (Jeffreys) Grose, has four children, and attends Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church.
Since 2000, Jeff has served on the Common Council for the City of Warsaw. He has the privilege of representing the same neighborhood he grew up in as a boy. He is currently a member of the Board of Public Works and Safety, the Warsaw Plan Commission, the Redevelopment Commission, and the Warsaw Deer Task Force. The Warsaw Deer Task Force, under Jeff's leadership, has gained national and state recognition over the past decade as a safe and effective way to manage deer herds in urban settings. As an elected five-term council member, he has also served on the Parks & Recreation Board, Oakwood Cemetery Board, Wage and Benefits Committee, and the Warsaw Housing Authority Board.
