Warsaw to Receive $3.8 Million Funding for Two Local Projects

INDOT Project Map

The Indiana Department of Transportation recently announced that the City of Warsaw would receive approximately $3.8 million in federal funding for two local projects.  The funding is a portion of $161 million in federal transportation grant funds.

The City will receive funding for:

  • Anchorage Road / CR 200 N - $2,683,763.00
  • Sheridan Street, East Clark, and East Fort Wayne Street (between Colfax and Cook) - $1,123,407.60

The Anchorage Road project will include infrastructure and roadway improvements.

The Sheridan / East Clark / East Fort Wayne project is associated with sidewalks and ADA improvements throughout the Lincoln School neighborhood.  The plan is to improve the safety and walkability for the neighborhood and elementary school.  It will replace non-compliant ADA ramps, replace existing sidewalks in need of repair, and place new sidewalks where there are not existing sidewalks.  All of these facilities connect to Lincoln Elementary School.

The City is pleased to have federal support to continue improving critical local infrastructure.  Both projects may begin as early as July of 2021.
