The mission of the C.A.R.E.S. Program is to improve the overall health and wellness of the City of Warsaw by: 1) providing services to reduce preventable emergencies, 2) increasing access to established community resources and social services, 3) assisting emergency personnel with response to mental health crises and situations. Below is a brief list of services provided:
- Assistance with mental health crises
- Mental health safety planning
- Assisting with access to healthcare
- Assisting with access to medications
- Fall prevention
- Referring and connecting individuals to community resources and social services:
- Emergency housing
- Emergency food & clothing
- Financial assistance
- Substance use treatment
- Transportation
- Grief support
