C.A.R.E.S. Program

The mission of the C.A.R.E.S. Program is to improve the overall health and wellness of the City of Warsaw by:  1) providing services to reduce preventable emergencies, 2) increasing access to established community resources and social services, 3) assisting emergency personnel with response to mental health crises and situations.  Below is a brief list of services provided:

  • Assistance with mental health crises
  • Mental health safety planning
  • Assisting with access to healthcare
  • Assisting with access to medications
  • Fall prevention
  • Referring and connecting individuals to community resources and social services:
    • Emergency housing
    • Emergency food & clothing
    • Financial assistance
    • Substance use treatment
    • Transportation
    • Grief support
    • And much more
