Call for Patriotic Art to Accompany Vietnam Wall Replica

The Warsaw Public Arts Commission has issued a call for patriotic art to be shown in "The Alley."   This exhibit is in conjunction with the public display of a replica of the Vietnam Wall and will run from May 31 through June 30, 2018.

Theme: 

Patriotic Art This exhibit is in conjunction with the public display of a replica of the Vietnam Wall in Warsaw, IN.

Eligibility: 

Entries must be entrants original art work and of a patriotic theme. Digital images of art should be no less than 600 dpi will be accepted. Final determination of what constitutes eligible work or inappropriate subject matter will rest with the panel of judges. It is the artists responsibility to obtain a signed release from recognizable subjects and present it upon request.

Size Requirements: 

Digital images of art should be no less than 600 dpi will be accepted. Vertical im-ages of art preferred.

Presentation: 

To safeguard original art work, giclee prints will be made from the submitted images of art (16x20 vertical, 8x16 horizontal) for display in outdoor cases. Labels will be created and displayed with the work so potential buyers can contact the artist to purchase the original art.

Entry Fee: 

There are no cash prizes or awards so no entry fees will be required to enter your art.

Receiving of Work: 

Digital images of art work must be emailed to lakelandartassociation@gmail.com and received no later than April 27, 2018. All digital images of art must be 600 dpi. Anything less will be rejected.

Sale of Art Work: 

The Warsaw Public Arts Commission will not be responsible for the sale of art. The artist must submit the title of the art piece, the price, and contact information. A label will be created and displayed with the art so customers can purchase the original art work from the artist.

Rejected Entries: 

Notification of rejected work will be made via email one week after judges decisions are made.


The Commission reserves the right to use images (with artist name) of submitted art in all marketing publications. Submission of an entry to this exhibit constitutes agreement by the entrant to all conditions set forth in this prospectus.
